To help its customers conform to packaging waste regulations, DHL Exel Supply Chain has launched a packaging compliance scheme. Similarly, to ensure that each year its members have paid for the recovery and recycling of the required amount of packaging, the logistics giant will handle all the administration, data reporting and compliance evidence. The act is supported by DHL’s Packaging Datastore of 4.5 million packaging product weights that will help DHL perform the calculation of a company’s waste packaging obligations and ensure the correct level of Packaging Recovery Notes (PRNs) are purchased. Informing about the scheme, Sean Hodges, head, DHL Exel Supply Chain’s Environmental and Compliance Solutions, said, ”DHL’s new packaging compliance scheme will provide customers with a cost-effective, one-stop shop for WEEE, packaging and data calculation services.
