NYSE says rule 48 in effect today

NEW YORK, Sept 15 - The New York Stock Exchange
said that Rule 48, which allows the exchange to suspend the
requirement to disseminate price indications at the open, will
be in effect on Monday.
The rule is intended to make it easier and faster to open
stock trades.
