Samsung Electronics posts negative LCD margin in Q4
SEOUL, Jan 23 – Samsung Electronics <005930.KS>,
the world’s largest maker of liquid crystal display (LCD)
screens, on Friday posted a negative 8 percent margin in its LCD
business for the fourth quarter of 2008, versus a 8 percent
profit margin in the third quarter.
Profit margins at its telecom division fell to 2 percent,
from 7 percent in July-September.
