African Men’s Handball: Tunisia and Egypt meet in finals

(BEIJING, January 16) — Tunisia and Egypt defeated their respective rivals in the semifinals of the African Men’s Handball Tournament held on the morning of January 16, 2008 (Beijing Time). The host country Angola was eliminated.
Tunisia and Algeria met in the first semifinal competition. Tunisia was undefeated in the preliminary sessions, and this time it also had an excellent performance, defeating Algeria easily 40-25.
Egypt was also undefeated and cruised over the host country Angola 35-28. The two powerhouses of Egypt and Tunisia will meet in the finals. The champion of the tournament will get the African ticket for the Beijing Olympic Games. Therefore, the competition will be rather intense.
