PRAGUE, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) — Belgian cyclist Sven Nijs, defender of the first position in the World Cup cyclocross series, won a Cup event in Tabor, the Czech Republic, on Saturday.

Belgian Klaas Vantornout and Dutch Lars Boom ended second and third respectively.

Along with the first position in the race in Tabor, which is to host the World Championship in 2010, Nijs won the sum of 2,300 euros.
