Murray is through to quarterfinals

(BEIJING, July 1) – Britain’s Andy Murray came from two sets down to defeat French No. 8 seed Richard Gasquet on Monday, 5-7 3-6 7-6 (7-3) 6-2 6-4 in the Wimbledon 2008 Championships. It is the first time in his career he has reached the last eight at a Grand Slam.
In the first two sets, no one gave Murray much hope, as he was ever beaten by Gasquet twice in the past. But tides turned to his side afterwards.
“In the first few sets he played with no pressure, hitting the ball hard and deep, but as soon as the pressure started getting to him, I took advantage. He got nervous and the crowd were awesome,” Murray addressed reporters. “They [the spectators] really got behind me.”
The Scot thrilled the Centre Court crowd with the unexpected victory to roar themselves hoarse.
Now he has set up a clash against world No. 2 Rafael Nadal, four-time French Open winner, and many people’s favorite for the men’s Wimbledon title.
But the 21-year-old Scotsman seems not timid. “When I played Nadal one-and-a-half years ago in Australia, I learned that I can play at his level – for four-and-a-half sets at least. He’s really improved on grass since then and I’m a better player as well. I
