Aug 12 (Reuters) – Factbox on Liao Hui of China who won the Olympic gold medal in the 69kg weightlifting on Tuesday.

Place of birth: Xiantao, Hubei province

Liao, whose parents initially did not want him to become a weightlifter because they feared he would end up short and squat, was competing in his first Olympic Games in Beijing.
