BEIJING (AP)—Jamaica’s Usain Bolt has won his semifinal in the 200 meters, moving closer to becoming the first man since Carl Lewis in 1984 to sweep the Olympic sprint titles.

Bolt beat 2004 gold medalist Shawn Crawford of the United States across the line, finishing in 20.09 seconds.

Crawford was next in 20.12, followed by Wallace Spearmon of the United States and Kim Collins of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

Walter Dix, the bronze medalist in the 100 behind Bolt, qualified from the other semifinal, as did Churandy Martina of Netherlands Antilles, Brian Dzingai of Zimbabwe, and Christian Malcolm of Britain.

The final is Wednesday.
