2010 Games turn to Canada’s anthem for slogan

Selekhova gets 2-year doping ban

MOSCOW (AP)—Russian triathlete Olga Selekhova has been banned for two years for doping after testing positive for a banned diuretic.

Selekhova tested positive for furosemide following the Russian championships, Russian Triathlon Federation secretary-general Lyudmila Sarayeva said Wednesday.

Kenyan runner Muthuka banned 2 years for doping

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP)—Kenyan 400-meter runner Elizabeth Muthuka was banned for two years after testing positive for the steroid nandrolone.

Athletics Kenya secretary-general David Okeyo said Wednesday that Muthuka returned a positive test in July after setting a Kenyan record of 50.2 seconds at the national championships. She broke the 24-year-old mark by 3.1 seconds.
